Project Description

By 1940, Paul Daniel had started the Daniel Orifice Fitting Company where, thanks to the U.S. government contracting major oil companies to provide gas and oil to operate the tanks, jeeps, trucks, and various other motorized equipment used by soldiers, oil companies were in desperate need of smaller firms like Daniel to keep the flow of oil running smoothly. From there, Daniel’s reliability and accuracy was quickly becoming a well-known standard, leading to rapid expansion including a small plant in the hometown of Paul Daniel himself in Houston, Texas. Over the years, Paul Daniel had developed into a cautious, intelligent businessman, and he had grown to understand the value of expanding his company’s operations in a slow but methodical manner.
